Services
We provide comprehensive rehabilitation services at our provider locations, including:
- Acute Care Services:
Clients are generally evaluated within 24 hours of the physician's order. All types of therapy are available at each of our locations. Written communication will be sent within three to five days detailing the goals and plan of treatment. Our goal is to provide constant communication and return the injured employee back to work as soon as possible.
- Critical Pathways:
Our case management team has developed critical pathways for the most common worker injuries. Pathways are utilized to insure that the most appropriate level of care is provided and move the injured worker into the system efficiently.
- Ergonomic Prevention Program:
Our rehabilitation program works with employers not only to return workers to jobs, but also to provide preventative services. Working closely on site with each particular business/industry, assistance is available to assess prevention and education needs. Programs are individually tailored to the work site for audiences such as production line workers, office staff and management. Programs may include back safety and ergonomics, and instruction on how to identify potential problems in the workplace. Programs are tailored for the employee and management.
- Functional Capacity Evaluation:
Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is an objective evaluation of an employee's baseline maximum tolerances regarding physical demands such as sitting, standing, lifting and repetitive hand movements. This evaluation determines the work readiness of an employee. The FCE will also give a valid determination of the employee's true effort. The full test takes approximately three to four hours with one-to-one employee/therapist ratio. We also provide modified functional capacity evaluations ordered from physicians to measure only selected critical physical demands of a job.
- Job Placement Assessment:
Performed by therapists to assess an individual's compatibility with a job. It my be used when screening applicants for a high-risk position to determine their ability to perform physical tasks, such as heavy lifting, pushing and pulling.
- Work Conditioning:
Work conditioning is a program designed to increase functional endurance, cardiovascular fitness, strengthening and flexibility to enhance early return to work.
- Work Hardening:
An intensive program to help workers increase work speed/endurance and improve specific work habits in preparation for their return to the job.
Our case managers direct the care of each person in a timely, cost-effective manner. Proactive communication from case managers ensure that the employer and the insurance carrier are informed of the progress and status of each employee.
