A member of the Lutheran Health Network, The Orthopaedic Hospital is one of only a few hospitals in the United States devoted strictly to orthopaedic care. In June 2008, TOH and Fort Wayne Orthopaedics partnered to give physicians partial ownership of the hospital and help ensure top-quality patient care for residents living in northern Indiana, southern Michigan and northwestern Ohio. Orthopaedic surgeons and specially trained nurses, physical and occupational therapists, surgery techs, assistants and orderlies make up TOH team.
Although patients with orthopaedic needs have been expertly treated at Lutheran Hospital since 1994, TOH was founded in 2006 and was built specifically to treat patients with orthopaedic needs. Total joint replacements, spine operations, sports-related injuries and chronic pain are just a few of the treatment options offered at TOH and performed by the center’s highly skilled, experienced and expert physicians and staff.
